Navonmesh means Innovation and Prasar means communication and hence NaPLab is a labratory to spread the word of innovation. NaPLab acts as centre of innovation for the rural community. It is space which provide tools and mentorship to think, design and innovate for the community.
Join the NaPLab Network, an innovation movement in personal fabrication. The cheapest and fastest method to get a NaPLab is to buy and assemble it yourself. This approach does require some expertise on hand to help you set up, install, debug and train. Alternatively, the Navonmesh Prasar Foundation offers turnkey solutions for establishing new NaPLabs around India.
The NaPLab Network is an open, creative community of fabricators, artists, scientists, engineers, educators, students, amateurs and professionals. NaPLabs offer a wide range of educational programs for all age groups and professional digital fabrication services for various types of organizations.
NaPLab is the connecting point for eager students in the different parts of the country who are keen to learn and study but does not have any such provision in their place where they can enhance their knowledge in an innovative education.
Educating students on innovation and technology in rural India is difficult as study material is not available in their local language. And that’s where a solution was found – to design platform/curriculum/ for kids where they have access to STEM-based subjects (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) in their own language.
Navonmesh Prasar also has a grade level digital STEAM content from class 1 to 10, a technology set up at their premises and a boot camp to train facilitators at the premises.
Hence any interested student can simply enroll in their nearby center to avail this facility and start learning in a much easier format in their native language, unlike the traditional bookish methodology of education.
